Wayne Rooney capped an excellent performance with a fine goal as Manchester United beat a stubborn Fulham 1-0 at Craven Cottage.
The win now leaves United 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League table, with second placed Manchester City at home to Liverpool on Sunday.
United played well but came up against an in-form Mark Schwarzer in the Fulham goal.
Rooney was unlucky to see a first-half shot hit the post but Fulham also had chances to score, and twice had headers from corners cleared off the line.
The match was also delayed in the first half for almost 10 minutes as Craven Cottage suffered a floodlight failure.
