As Brazil prepare to face England at Wembley on Wednesday night, Sportsmail quizzes Ronaldinho about English football, his goals and the game's hard men.
What's your first memory of English football?
I remember seeing Eric Cantona play for Manchester United. The way he used to control games was special to watch.
Who is the best English footballer you have seen?
So many. Paul Scholes, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, Wayne Rooney, all players who, at their peak, would have got into any team in the world.
National hero: Ronaldinho scored an exceptional lob to put England out of the 2002 World Cup in Japan
So is there an England player who could get in the Brazil team?
Rooney is a player I like - there is not a national squad in the world he would not improve. Ashley Cole is a fantastic defender. I have seen him keep the best players in the world quiet.
No 1 fan: Ronaldinho believes Wayn Rooney (left) would get into the Brazil squad
What's the best goal you have scored?
My best has to be for Barcelona against Villarreal in 2006 - that is the one I am asked most about and it is the one I am most proud of. Xavi chipped the ball to me, I chested it down, twisted and hit an overhead kick. It was the final goal in a 4-0 win.
And what about lobbing David Seaman in the 2002 World Cup? Did you mean it?
Of course!
Up and over: Ronaldinho spotted David Seaman off his line and put the ball in the net
Heartbreak: Seaman watched the ball drop over the line after misjudging the flight
Who is the best manager you played for and why?
I have special memories of Luiz Felipe Scolari. Of course we won the World Cup under him in 2002 - and we won playing beautiful football.
He has shown faith in me by calling me back. He is very courageous - already saying the target is to win the 2014 World Cup.
Who is the best opponent you've faced?
The toughest opponents for me are the defenders who are tough in the way they play - where you can't see a way through. Paolo Maldini and John Terry are two of the toughest men I have met on the field.
Dumped: Ronaldinho put John Terry on his backside in a Champions League clash during his Barcelona days

Tough guy: Alongside Terry, Ronaldinho rates Paolo Maldini as one of the best he has played against
Why do England never do well at tournaments?
England have had good players - but maybe they have not been strong enough. You look at the Brazil, France and Spain teams who have been successful and I don't think England have ever been at that level in these years.
Do you regret not coming to play in England?
No, because I have played for some of the biggest teams in the world and won everything. The only regret is not playing more seasons with Lionel Messi.
He is my good friend. I could see even at a young age he was going to be the best. It was exciting to see this kid who could do things most players can only dream of.
Vision: Ronaldhino said he could tell Lionel Messi (left) would become the world's best
When did you come closest? Was it with Manchester United?
Yes, that was the only time it has been a real option. If Manchester United had signed me they would have won more European Cups!
What are your memories of playing in England?
The game is far more physical. I have played against some great players in England - but also the mentality is that we don't mind kicking you as well.
Grateful: Luiz Felipe Scolari has selected Ronaldinho to be in his squad to face England
What does it mean to be part of the FA's 150th anniversary?
It is obviously a special occasion - and a game between two big footballing nations. But the thing that matters is that I am back in the Brazil squad. I need to show I can play a big part in the next World Cup.
Wembley or the Maracana for the best stadium in the world?
I would have to say Maracana. When you see the place turn yellow as it fills with Brazil fans - it makes it, in my opinion, the spiritual home of football.
Tell us about a Brazilian who could be a star in Europe?
Damiao is going to be one of the top strikers in the world. I read that he is being linked to the Premier League - the style of his play would make him very dangerous there.
One to watch: Leandro Damiao almost joined Tottenham from Internacionale
In England we think you like to party - is that fair?
I used to get annoyed by the stories. Websites would use the same photo and make it look like I was out every week even though the photos were old.
I am passionate about music - and people think because I go to places where I can enjoy music I have to be partying. It isn't true.
Can this Brazil team win in 2014?
Brazil go into every World Cup expecting to win - so when it is in Brazil it is expected even more. You can't understand what the World Cup means to our country. Not just the fans and players but everybody in Brazil lets us know that they expect it.
Our president, people in politics, all tell us to come back with the World Cup.
How good is Neymar compared to Messi?
Messi for the last three or four years has been the best player in the world - he has been at a level of consistency I don't think the world has seen before.
Neymar is young, though, and I can't explain how special he will become. In the next two or three seasons he will become the best player.
Beyond words: Ronaldinho said he 'can't explain' how special Neymar will become
