Nicolas Anelka has signed for Juventus on a five-month loan deal from China's Shangai Shenhua.
Harry Redknapp had been interested in bringing the former Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid striker to Loftus Road.

Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente has signed for the club but will not arrive until the end of the season.
'It can be a good move for the short term, then at the end of the season we'll evaluate what must be done,' said Marotta.
'He is filling a hole. It is a five-month contract with an option for the second season, if things go well.
'Anelka's arrival rules out any other transfers, because in this stage of the transfer window there are no other opportunities.'
The French international made a deal with the Chinese club, where he was playing with former Chelsea striker partner Didier Drogba, to let him leave.
