Yaya Toure and Edin Dzeko inspired Manchester City to their second win of the season and maintained their unbeaten start to the season.
The Ivory Coast midfielder fired the Premier League champions ahead after 16 minutes after Roberto Mancini's men had completely dominated the early exchanges.
Toure got his goal from a corner and fired home from close range after the ball bounce around in the box.
City were inches away from doubling their advantage in the opening minutes of the second half when Pablo Zabaleta's curling effort was only denied by the underside of the bar.
But against the run of play QPR levelled after Andy Johnson's curling shot produced a good save from Joe Hart but the ball fell to Bobby Zamora who was able to head home into an empty net from close range.
But City regained the lead less than two minutes later when Dzeko headed Carlos Tevez's cross past Rob Green.
Tevez then put the game beyond doubt in stoppage time as he latched onto Dzeko's shot to tap home a third and claim all three points.
