A cross section of invited guests together with SBL staff gets a ‘perfect serve’

SBL OFFICE GROUNDS, 27^th APRIL 2012 – Over 60 invited guests from neighbouring SBL offices and SBL staff at Oyster bay area in Dar Es Salaam were treated to a unique  evening by a passionate brand team of the leading premium Vodka in the world, Smirnoff.

Smirnoff Vodka is a clear neutral spirit that uses best grains and undergoes triple distillation. It is filtered ten times consequently becoming the purest spirit in the sphere and is sold in over 130 countries.

No details were left out as the crowd experienced the spirit and various ways of enjoying it.  The main part of the evening was of course sampling of cocktails.  It’s said that cocktails, some being out of the ordinary and full of colour and flavour, add a special feeling to an occasion.  They are great for parties.  There are various cocktails that are very popular with Smirnoff.  There is the East African favourite, Black Swagger (Cola and Smirnoff) which most in the crowd were familiar with.  However, there is also Jammy Noff; in which jam is the main ingredient, creating a colourful cocktail that impressed many.   Smirnoff can also be enjoyed dry or with ice.

As Friday evening rolled, the guests agreed on one thing; that the purity of Smirnoff vodka makes it so versatile in mixing it with other drinks.

Interesting to note:

• Smirnoff was first produced in Russia by Piotr Arseneevich in 1864.
• The word ‘vodka’ was derived from the Russian word ‘voda’ and Polish

‘woda’ meaning water.

• Vodka has been produced in Russia since the end of the 9th century.

By the end of the evening the ‘Friday party mood’ was in the air and the guests left appreciating Smirnoff to the fullest.
